Siege memories with jesuit father Frans Van Der Lugt

نقله إلى العربيّة:

عن الكتاب

Siege Memories is much like a daily diary that didn't involve in the events of an ongoing war, or in its defeats or victories. Civilians experienced the horrors of war, refused to die and to lose hope or spoil the joyful moments of the simple life they lived.

The events in these memories are real and took place during the severe siege of the Old City of Homs in Syria. The author of these memories was destined to suffer,

along with Jesuit Father Frans Van Der Lugt, from the siege and to become an acolyte of him at fulfilling the role of a shephered who doesn't leave his sheep as an easy prey for the wolf, but sacrifices dearly to instil hope in people's hearts, gives them a

helping hand and meets the requirements of their ordinary life in an unusual circumstances. Everyone who reads these memories will certainly be deeply influenced; joy will mix with sorrow and satisfaction with anger to eventually be overwhelmed by an ambiguous and strange feeling which is difficult to define in

words, but it turns to be a feeling of elegance.
